Mango Pear Puree

Ingredients:

2 Ripe Mangoes
2 Tbs water

Remove the skin and seed then dice the mangoes. Place mangoes in a bowl with water and blend to desired consistency. Mix* in the simple pear puree and you'll have a tasty treat!

Yields: 5 1/2 cups or 2 ice cube trays

*I blended the pear puree with the mangoes. I'm a bit OCD in making my purees extra smooth.

Pear Puree

Ingredients:

2 Organic Pears*
1/3 Cup Water

Quarter the pears and remove the pitt and the skins. Slice in half and dice the pears into cubes. Combine pears and water in a covered pot and simmer on low for 25-30 minutes until pears are soft.

Drain pears (but keep cooking liquid). Place pears in a bowl (if using a hand blender) or in a blender. Blend pears with 3 Tbs of the cooking liquid to the desired consistency. I puree the pears to extra smooth consistency and to make absolutely certain there are no chunks, I run my clean fingers through the puree to catch any large pieces.

Yields: 1 and 1/4 cups of Pear Puree

* I try to use organic whenever possible. I definitely use organic if they are considered the Dirty Dozen according to the EWG (Environmental Working Group).
